Lake View’s Wild Gators fell to the Creek Bridge Warriors 82-56 in boys basketball action on Friday.
Creek Bridge outscored Lake View 20-12 and 25-10 in the first two quarters to lead 45-22 at the half. The Wild Gators picked up a little steam in the third, but Warriors still outscored Lake View 21-14 to lead 66-36 heading into the fourth. Lake View rallied to finish the fourth 20-16 but couldn’t overcome the Warriors’ wide lead as they fell by 26 points at 82-56.
Vic Williams earned a game-high 30 points for Creek Bridge, with Chris Crawford adding 11 points and Jamal Williams earning 10 in the win. A.J. Finklea added eight points; D.J. Graves, seven; Rashawn Rogers, six; Rajuan Woodberry, six; Marquil Biggers, four; and Bobby Boatwright scored two points for the Warriors.
Darius Leonard led Lake View with a team-high 23 points, followed by Jamal Ford with 12. Chris Ford added seven, Morgan McDaniel scored five, and Tyrice Brunson earned two points for the Wild Gators.
Creek Bridge improved to 8-14 with a 5-7 region record, while Lake View slipped to 4-11 overall and 2-7 in the region.
Tonight, Lake View hosts Hemingway in their final home game of the season. On Thursday, the Wild Gators will be in Latta to take on the Vikings to close out the regular season. Game times are at 6:00 p.m., so make plans to attend to support our local teams!
