The Dillon Wildcats took down the Loris Lions 62-47 on Friday at home in Dillon.

Dillon took an early 13-7 lead in the first quarter and widened the gap in the second to lead 30-17 at the half. The Wildcats outscored Loris 16-14 in the third, and both teams added 16 points in the fourth to give the Wildcats the win.

Dillon was led by Jalike Bethea and Kwinton Smith, who each scored 12 points for the Wildcats. Shaqui Cabbagestalk earnednine points, Eri’Reon Hayes scored eight, and Julius Saunders added seven. Breon Page, John Caulder, and Maurice Williams each scored four points, and Omar McCollum added two points to the win.

Loris was led by T. Floyd with 10 points and S. Jckson and D. Wideman who each scored six. D. Claridy and T. Bennett each added five, S. Clark scored thre, and A. Bellamy and L. Chestnut each added two.
Dillon’s overall record improves to 7-10 with a 2-2 record in Region 8-AA.

Tonight, the Wildcats will host the Waccamaw Warriors at 6:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, Dillon will host Latta for a non-league match. Make plans to attend to support our local teams!
