Richard Lynn Lewellen, age 46, died Tuesday, September 13, 2011, in Columbia, South Carolina. Funeral services were graveside on Saturday, September 17 at 11:00 AM at Greenlawn Cemetery in Dillon, SC. Visitation was at Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service.
Mr. Lewellen was born in Latta, SC, on April 10, 1965. He was the son of Isabelle Lane Lewellen and the late Clyde Wesley Lewellen. He was a truck driver with A-1 Trucking Company and served in the National Guard. Mr. Lewellen was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his mother, Isabelle Lane Lewellen, his wife, Angela Nobles Lewellen; a son, Richard Jason Lewellen (Courtney Stokes) of Latta, SC; two daughters: Brandy Lee Edge (Alonza Johnson) of Florence, SC, and Brittany Lynn Lewellen (Brandon McCray) of Latta, SC. Mr. Lewellen is also survived by three brothers: Clyde Wesley Lewellen, Jr., Ralph Edward Lewellen, and Charles Ernest Lewellen; and one sister, Deborah Elaine (Cleve) Martin of Latta; and two grandchildren: Jason Bryan Cooper, Jr. and Briahna Lee McCray.
