Services for Henry C. Berry will be held 4:00 p.m. Sunday in Beulah Baptist Church with burial in Henry Berry Family Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6-9 p.m. Saturday in Cooper Funeral Home.
Mr. Berry, 82, died Friday, August 26, 2011 at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon.
Born in Dillon County, June 18, 1929, he was the son of the late James “Bud” Berry and Annie Mae Williams Berry. He was a member of Beulah Baptist Church, and was a Farmer, Mechanic, and he owned and operated Berry’s Grocery & Garage.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Price Berry of Hamer; children, Clyde (Leigh) Berry, Billy Ray Berry (Lori Ann Bullock) of Dillon, Rene’ (Myrtle) Berry, and Randy (Michelle) Berry both of Hamer; special friend, Ginger Arnette Berry; brother-in-law, and best friend, J.W. (Joan) Price of Hamer; sisters-in-law, Kathy Price of Little Rock, Paulette & Wayne Small of Floydale, and Mildred & Paul Cruze of Senintary, MS; aunt, Dorothy Mae Moody of Burbank, CA; grandchildren, Rodney & Missy, Richard & Stacie, Zach, Missy & Jon, Ryan & Shannon, Bradley & Robyn, Brandy & Drew, Chasity, Joshua & Christina & Justin Williamson; great-grandchildren, Gage, Colby, Harrington, Coker, Nathan, Brady, Ethan, Bryson, Braylon, Josie, and Nicholas “Chase”; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Mr. Berry was preceded in death by his son, Steve “Pete” Berry; and brother-in-law, John David Price.
