CR Turnage, 78, died Friday, August 26, 2011, at McLeod Medical Center-Dillon.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Monday in Dillon First Baptist Church. Burial with full military honors in Greenlawn Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Born in Kinston, NC, June 1, 1933, he was the son of the late Roy Edward Turnage and Helen Abbott Turnage. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a mason, was owner and operator of Turnage Electric Service for 45 plus years, and a member of the Dillon First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn F. Turnage of Dillon; sons, Bruce (Sherrie) Turnage of Dillon and Michael L. (Helen) Turnage of Charleston; daughters, Cheryl Turnage (Luke) Barefoot of Conway and Robin Turnage (Corbin) Rowe of Clarksville, GA; brother, Ray C. (Lissie) Turnage of Johnson City, TN; sisters, Anna T. Flowers of Aiken, SC and Nellie Gray Turnage of West Columbia; grandchildren,Courtney A. Turnage, Madison L. Rowe, Logan C. Turnage, Rachel E. Barefoot, Rebecca D. Rowe, Olivia B. Rowe, and Jack Rowe; special nieces and nephews.
Mr. Turnage was preceded in death by his brother, Edward A. Turnage.
