Services for Martha Elevening Strickland Berry will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday at Mallory Church of God with burial in Little Bless Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Cooper Funeral Home in Dillon.
Mrs. Berry, 73, died Friday, August 5, 2011 at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.
Born in Dillon County, April 10, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Rufus Silas Strickland and Martha Owens Strickland. She was a member of Mallory Church of God, and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her children, Pat Hunt (Dale) Norris of Conway, Marguerite (Jerry) Hammonds of Dillon, Rufus Silas Grice, and Scottie Ray (Billie Jo) Berry, both of Blenheim; grandchildren, Lawrence Tyler, Jr. of Dillon, Bobby Tyler of Las Vegas, NV, Michael Strickland of Darlington, Timothy Hammonds, and Jerry Wayne Hammonds, both of Dillon, Bridgett, Michaela, Briana, Dakota, Selena, Scottie, Jr., and Abigail Berry; great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Kylie, and Allen Strickland, Nicholas Lewellen, Timothy Hammonds, Jr., Nathan Hammonds, and Riley Tyler.
Mrs. Berry was preceded in death by 1 brother and 4 sisters.
