Eight-year-old Justice Ladson is being called a “hero” after he saved a five-year-old friend during an attack by a dog.
Ladson and his friend were feeding the dog when the younger friend picked up some of the food and tried to feed it to the dog, said Ladson’s mother, Krystle.
The dog, a German Shepherd, started biting the child and that’s when Justice took action. He got a shovel and started poking the dog in the side. When the dog wouldn’t let go, Ladson began hitting the dog with the shovel until his friend got free.
The friend was bitten on the arm and the back of the head. Ladson even accompanied the other child to the hospital.
Everyone is glad that it wasn’t much worse and that Ladson was there to take action before something much more tragic happened.
