As of 10 p.m. on Wednesday, the search was still on for a home invasion suspect.
Three suspects in the incident are already in custody, but one person, described as an Indian male, fled into the woods this morning.
The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office, the Latta Police Department, the Dillon Police Department, SLED, and the S.C. Highway Patrol are working to locate the suspect. The SLED helicopter and dogs are being used to aid in the search.
In recent hours, the search shifted from the Cattle Farm Road/Hwy. 917 area to the Sunset Drive/Bethea Street Extension area of Latta, which was still being searched at 10 p.m.
The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. If anyone sees the suspect in their area, they should call 9-1-1 to report this to law enforcement.
Further details will be posted when made available. Also be sure to check The Dillon Herald on Tuesday for all the details.
