Lake View’s Wild Gators fell 6-1 to Chesterfield in game two of the state baseball championship series on Thursday.
Chesterfield pitcher Kelly Butler picked up the win, pitching the complete game and holding Lake View to just one run. The Golden Rams had 11 hit sin the game, including three from Trent allen, two from Colby Croxton, and two from Seth Truesdale.
Lake View’s Chris Ford hit a double with one out in the sixth inning, and Jordan Miller hit an RBI single to bring Ford in to score. Ford had two hits for Lake View.
Zach Allen took the loss, allowing 11 hits and six runs in six and two-thirds innings.
Lake View will now face Chesterfield in game three on Saturday, May 21, at Jimmy White Park in Hartsville at 6:00 p.m.
