During 2010, Amtrak had 8,463 boardings and alightings in Dillon compared to 7,126 in 2009.
This was more boarding and alightings than the cities of Camden (3,588), Clemson (6,941), Demark (4,485), and Spartanburg (4,955).
Charleston (79,806), Columbia (36,297), Florence (47,344), Greenville (17,490), Kingstree (14,153) and Yemassee (13,516) all had more boardings and alightings than Dillon.

Amtrak placed orders valued at $14,111,534 for goods and services in South Carolina in FY10. Most of this was in the following locations: Cayce, $1,975,655; Greenville, $3,977,831; and Spartanburg, $5,715,796.
At the end of FY10, Amtrak employed 53 South Carolina residents. Total wages of Amtrak employees living in South Carolina were $3,652,434 during FY10.
