There were people and two vehicles shot at Newtown Pool and Game on Highway 57 South in Dillon on Tuesday night, according to Captain Cliff Arnette of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office. There are possibly three victims, Arnette said. The victims were taken to the hospital. Deputies were still on the scene at the time of this report. ee people, two vehicles, and a local business were shot in a drive-by shooting on Tuesday evening.
Deputies were called to a shooting at Newtown Pool and Game at 700A Lockemy Highway in Dillon.
Three people were shot including Ricky Lee Evans, age 21, of Mr. Daniel Drive, Dillon; Patrick Nygea Salmon, age 19, of East Hampton Street, Dillon; and Michael C. Campbell, age 19, of Marion Street, Dillon.
An incident report by Deputy Kevin Daniels states that all three victims were taken by personal vehicle to the hospital.
A truck and a car were riddled with shotgun pellets, and the business sustained damage.
Deputy Shannon Grainger is the lead investigator on the case.
The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office and the City of Dillon Police Department responded.
At press time, Arnette said that they were still trying to identify a suspect and were gathering information on the case.
Arnette said a green vehicle that may be related to this case was seen in the area.
