Mrs. Dorothy Orr Hill, 90 passed away Saturday, August 14, 2010. The family will receive family and friends from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Monday, August 16, 2010 immediately prior to the funeral. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Lake View. Burial will follow at Lake View Cemetery directed by Cook Funeral Home of Lake View. Mrs. Hill was born in Marion, SC on September 29, 1919, the daughter of Winnie Forrest and Ethel Stanley Orr. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lake View. Before she retired, Mrs. Hill held the position of church secretary for many years serving under several pastors. It was her goal to be there when needed and be a friend to all. Surviving Mrs. Hill is her daughter, Carolyn Hill Taylor of Fayetteville, NC. She is also survived by Ann Berry Hill, sister-in-law of Lake View. She is also survived by nieces and nephews of the Orr and Hill families: Genie Munnerlyn Duncan of West Columbia, Jody Munnerlyn (Ginger) of Camden, Sam Munnerlyn (Diane) of Timmonsville, Lois Orr Page of Lake View, Ellen Rogers Brown of Mullins, Jim Rogers (Cheryl) of Mullins, Anita Rogers Byrd (Frank) of Mullins, Nancy Rogers Matthews (John) of Florence, Cyndi Orr May (James) of Beaufort, Robin Orr Moore (Arthur) of Madison, TN, Bryan Orr of Greenville, TN and all the children and grandchildren of these nieces and nephews. Also, surviving her are Mary Grace Hill Hall of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Edwin Hill (Mary) of Aiken, Geraldine Hill Rutland (Bob) of West Columbia, Margaret Hill Rogers of Floydale, Mary Hill of Sumter, Linda Hill Moore (Rick) of Lake View, Barbara Hill Watson (George) of Greer and all the children and grandchildren of these nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. W.F. Orr, Sr.; brothers and sisters, Catherine Orr Munnerlyn, W.F.
