Adia Jones attended the Junior National Young Leaders Conference from June 12, 2010 to June 17, 2010.
She experienced many historical events throughout the six-day program.
She went to Newseum, which is a place of daily news from around the world since 2008. The students also visited Harpers Ferry where abolitionist John Brown tried to stop slavery. They went to the Smithsonian Center for Education and Museum Studies to learn about different wars around the world and how America has changed since the 1900’s.
