On Thursday, May 27, 2010 Officer Charles Cooper was nominated as Officer of the Year by Lt. Pamela Johnson at the South Carolina Jail Administration Banquet held at the Sumter Technical College, Sumter, S.C. Officer Charles Cooper has been employed at the Dillon County Detention Center since October 2007. Officer Cooper is married with two sons, and is a member of St. Matthew Baptist Church of Hamer. He is very committed and delegated to his job, he encourages all new officers to be teamplayers, and to get the job done as a team. His main goal every day is safety and security. He would like to encourage everyone not to ever give up on any circumstance, to keep praying to God for strength and courage, and most of all to keep the faith. Officer Cooper would like to thank the Administrator Staff from the Dillon County Detention Center for this special recognition.
