Flavius Lee Whittington, 70, died Monday, June 21, 2010, at Regency Hospital in Florence.
Funeral services will be held 4:00 P.M. Thursday in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.  Visitation will be 3:00 -4:00 p.m. Thursday prior to the service at the funeral home.
Born in Dillon County, December 12, 1939, he was the son of the late Horace Greely Whittington and Mamie Estelle Hurley Whittington.  He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Gayle Whittington of Hamer; daughters, Wanda Sherry Squires and Lee Ann Ray both of Dillon; step-sons, Brian Humphries of Lake Wylie, Kevin Humphries of Fort Mill, and Jeffrey Humphries of Dillon; brothers, Vernon Whittngton and John Whittington both of Rowland, NC; sister, Sarah Ramey of New Port News, VA; 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
