James William “Jimmy” Brewer was honored on Wednesday, June 26, by the Quilt of Valor Foundation of Myrtle Beach who came to his home in Dillon to present him with a Quilt of Honor.
Chairman Johnnie Daniels opened the meeting with prayer.
Despite the heat, a nice crowd turned out to remember our fallen soldiers at a Memorial Day ceremony held at Veterans Square on Monday, hosted by the Dillon County Veterans Organization.
The Dillon Herald held a very successful food drive for Help For Veterans, Inc. with the help of the community.
The grand opening of the Smithsonian traveling exhibit, “Crossroads: Change In Rural America,” was held on Saturday, May 18th at the Dillon County Courthouse.
This group placed American Flags on the graves of veterans throughout various cemeteries in Dillon.
The Dillon Herald is sponsoring a food drive for Help For Veterans, Inc.
The Dillon County, SC Veterans of the Year Organization held their second annual banquet/business meeting at Sidney’s Restaurant in Dillon.
