Four descendants of the Elvington and Goodyear families, early local settlers pre-dating 1800, were on hand with other interested parties to donate an antique, hand-woven, wool and flax blanket to the South Carolina State Museum in Columbia. Fritz Hamer, Ph.D., the museum’s Chief Curator of Cultural History, was in town to accept the gift.
