LHS Band Director Back In Court

Matthew Tyler Hutto, the former Latta High School band director who was charged with two counts for criminal sexual conduct with a minor second degree in April, was back in court on Monday after a rule to show cause had been filed in the case.

‘Stamp Out Hunger’ Food Drive Is May 14th

The 19th annual NALC National Food Drive will be held again on the second Saturday in May—this year, on May 14—and more than 1,500 National Association of Letter Carriers branches from every state, involving more than 10,000 cities and towns, will help stock community food banks, pantries and shelters for the summer months.

McKellar Returning From Iraq

Army Reserve Chief Warrant Officer 3 Jovar C. McKellar is returning to the U.S. after a deployment to Iraq serving in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom/New Dawn, or Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and the Southwest Asia Theater of Operations.

Ceremony Remembers Those Serving In War On Terrorism

A brief ceremony was held on Monday to pay tribute to those soldiers who are fighting the war on terrorism and to remember the three soldiers from Dillon County who lost their lives. The ceremony also acknowledged the death and defeat of Osama bin Laden, the terrorist credited with the September 11, 2001 tragedy.
