Keep Halloween Decorating Safe By Following NFPA Tips

Many hallmarks of Halloween – lit jack-o-lanterns, candle decorations and billowing costumes – all pose fire safety hazards. As kids and families select costumes and decorate their homes for the season, the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) encourages everyone to implement simple safety precautions to ensure that this year’s Halloween remains fun and fire-free.

Results Of CDEPP Student Assessments Show Progress

The South Carolina Education Oversight Committee (EOC) has released a report presenting the results of assessments of students in the Child Development Education Pilot Program (CDEPP), a pilot full-day educational pre-kindergarten program for at-risk four-year-olds residing in 37 SC school districts.
