Lake View’s Lady Wild Gators earned an 8-0 win over Carvers Bay on Tuesday night in Lake View in varsity softball action.
The Lady Gators picked up their first run in the bottom of the first inning and added their second in the bottom of the third. Lake View picked up three runners each in the fourth and sixth innings to seal the win.
Marissa Tyndall got the win on the mound, pitching a complete game for just two hits, two walks and one hit by pitch while striking out 14.
Tyndall also led the Gators at bat, going 4-for-4 with a home run and two RBI. Ally Spivey went 2-for-3 with one RBI, and Ashley Rogers went 2-for-4.
Lake View improved to 12-6 overall and 5-3 in Region 8-A for second place in the region.
The Lady Gators are scheduled to host Mullins tonight at 5:30 p.m. and will host Dillon Christian School’s Lady Warriors this Friday at 5:30.
Friday’s game against the Warriors will be in recognition of Cancer Awareness, and the Gators will be wearing pink. Make plans to attend!
