Former Wildcat D.J. Park and former Viking Donell Stanley both received the Everyday Effort Award as the University of South Carolina Gamecocks presented their Spring Game Awards.
The 6’4”, 332-lb. Park was a Shrine Bowl selection and an All-American Bowl selection in his high school career and was a four-star prospect. He enrolled at USC in January 2013 and was a redshirt freshman offensive lineman for the Gamecocks in 2014. He played in eight games last fall, primarily in special teams.
Stanley, at 6’4”, 336-lb., joined the Gamecocks in 2014 but was redshirted and did not practice for much of the season due to surgery on his left wrist. Stanley was a South Carolina “Mr. Football” award finalist and a Shrine Bowl selection, and was also a four-star prospect in high school.
The Spring Game was held between the Black and Garnet teams on Saturday at Williams-Brice Stadium with the Black team earning a 14-13 win.
