Officer Daniel van Heenstede Obelt is one of the City of Dillon’s newest officers.
Coming to Dillon from New York, the new officer joined the City of Dillon Police Department six months ago and graduated from the SC Criminal Justice Academy at the end of November.
He pursued a career in law enforcement because his father, mother, and uncle all had law enforcement careers.
He would like to thank Chief Joe Rogers for the opportunity to serve the people of Dillon.
