Dillon’s Lady Wildcats met the Mullins Auctioneers on Friday night at Loris to settle the Region 8-2A championship. Dillon took the region title with a 63-61 win in overtime.

Dillon’s Lady Wildcats hosted Waccamaw’s Lady Warriors on Wednesday, February 11, for the last game of the regular season.

In the second quarter, the Wildcats hold of the Warriors at the net with an 8-7 lead.

With three minutes left in the first half, Dillon and Mullins knot the game at 30 heading into halftime.

With about two minutes left in regulation, Mullins’ #4 Brianna Brantley misses a free throw, but #33 Cassie Phillips catches the rebound and scores. Dillon’s #10 Khamele Manning drives the ball back down the court, passing to #21 Kendra McLeod, who sinks a shot to leave Dillon trailing 57-56.

A foul sends Mullins #3 Brittani McDonald to the line where she sinks a free throw and #12 Jaleah Lasane follows up with a two-pointer for a 60-56 lead.
