McLeod Medical Center Dillon is pleased to announce that Frank Munn, RN, has been named Director of Critical Care Services. He has over ten years of supervisory nursing experience.
Frank began his career in nursing in 1998. He started his medical career as an Emergency Medical Technician and progressed into a Licensed Practical Nurse during his military service. He then continued his education and become a registered nurse and later graduated from the University of South Carolina Upstate, where he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Currently, Frank is pursuing his Master of Business Administration Degree with a concentration in Healthcare Management through Western Governors University.
“I have always enjoyed caring for others,” said Frank. “After my service in the military, I returned to SC and discovered how much nursing allowed me to care for friends, family and others in my community. It is a rewarding career.”
In his new role, Frank will oversee the daily operations of the Emergency Department and the Intensive Care Unit. “I enjoy the fast pace of critical care,” said Frank. “I find it rewarding to see the immediate results of the care provided in those settings. It’s instant gratification.”
Frank is excited to be relocating to Dillon, SC. His wife, Terri, is a native of Dillon and they have many friends and family members in the area. “The Pee Dee Region of South Carolina is home for both of us.”
Frank, a native of Hartsville, SC, has spent a majority of his nursing career caring for patients in his hometown.
Frank looks forward to joining McLeod Health. “McLeod as an organization does a great job. As it grows, McLeod maintains its focus on the quality of care delivered to the communities it serves,” said Frank.
Frank’s military background was instrumental in shaping his life. “I am proud of my service in the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division and continue to have a strong love and affection for our military,” said Frank. “It is an honor when I have the opportunity to provide care to one of our veterans.”
Frank and Terri have two children, a daughter Hanna Grace (9 years old) and a son Mac (5 years old). He enjoys camping with his family, attending his children’s sporting events, and riding motorcycles.
