Mozelle Adams Hankins passed away at her home on Saturday, January 3, 2015. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at Main Street United Methodist Church in Dillon with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m at Kannaday Funeral Home in Dillon.
Mrs. Hankins is the widow of the late Dr. Thomas Carlyle Hankins. She was born December 21, 1920 in Clio, SC, the daughter of the late Henry Lauren Adams and Pauline Edens Adams. She was a graduate of Columbia College, a member of Main Street United Methodist Church, the Eulalia Cook Circle, the Rose Garden Club, and a retired school teacher.
Mrs. Hankins is survived by her daughter, Eden H. Somers; two sons, Thomas Carlyle Hankins, Jr. (Ann) of West Columbia, and John A. Hankins (Debbie) of Columbia; sister-in-law, Angell Adams. She was predeceased by three brothers, Eddie H. Adams, Lehman Adams, and Henry Duncan Adams.
