Latta’s Lady Vikings earned a 51-26 win over the visiting East Clarendon Wolverines on Thursday night but fell to Mullins on Friday.

Latta opened Thursday night’s game with a 9-6 lead and went 17-12 in the second to lead 26-18 at the half. The Lady Vikings kept up the pressure for a 17-6 third quarter and capped the win with an 8-2 fourth.

Mallory Townsend earned a game-high 18 points and TaKeria Legette added 12 in the win. Maya Wright scored eight; Green, 4; Johnson, 4; Desser, 3; and Delrey, 2.

TyQuasha Kennedy led the Lady Wolverines with a team-high 16 points, with Rose adding six and Shaw earning four.

But the Lady Vikings ran aground of Mullins on Friday night, falling 85-43 to the Lady Auctioneers.

Latta slips to 3-2 on the season.

The Lady Vikings are scheduled to travel to Marion this Thursday, December 18, with varsity action beginning at 6:00 p.m. It will be the final game for the Vikings before the holiday break. Make plans to attend to support our local team!
