Dillon native and former Wildcat Chelsea Frazier started her college basketball season strong in the Kevin Thom Classic on Saturday, November 1.
Frazier is attending Dakota College at Bottineau in Bottineau, North Dakota, and is in her sophomore season with the Ladyjacks. Frazier, 5-foot-6, plays Guard for the Ladyjacks.
In her opening game, Frazier had a double/double and led the team with five assists, earning 10 points. The Ladyjacks won 86-51, defeating Canadian Mennonite University.
On Sunday, November 2, Frazier combined with a teammate for nine three-pointers. Frazier led in assists and rebounds and earned 20 points as the Ladyjacks won 67-48 over Providence College.
Dakota College also picked up a 76-61 win over Turtle Mountain on November 5, and earned wins in the Lake Region Classic on November 8 and 9, defeating Jamestown JV 73-61 and Lake Region Alumni 86-73.
The Ladyjacks were scheduled to play Turtle Mountain on Tuesday and will play in the Baymont Inn Classic this weekend. The Ladyjacks will be broadcasting their home games throughout the season at www.ihigh.com/dcb.
