Dillon’s Eri’Reon Hayes has been named to the Palmetto Champions All-Star Football team.
Hayes was named the Class 2A Lower State Back of the Year. The 6-foot-1, 198-lb. senior has over 967 yards receiving for 15 touchdowns on 48 receptions. He is a Shrine Bowl selection and has received seven college offers from schools such as Hampton, East Carolina, Georgia Southern, Appalachian State, Coastal Carolina, South Carolina State, and Old Dominion.
The upper and lower state winners will be honored at a banquet in Columbia on Thursday, December 4. Overall player, lineman, and coach of the year will be announced at the banquet.
Timberland’s Art Craig was named the Class 2A Lower State Coach, and Fairfield Central’s Demetrius Davis was the Class 2A Upper State Coach.
In Class A, Hemingway’s Xavier Weaver was named the Lower State Back, and C.E. Murray’s Martin Buffkin was named Class A Specialist of the Year. Charlie Pool of McBee was the Class A Upper State Coach, and Eddie Ford of Allendale-Fairfax was the Lower State Coach of the Year.
