Lake View’s Lady Wild Gators earned a 14-1 win over Mullins in five innings on Monday night in Lake View to wrap up regular season softball action.
Mullins scored their lone run in the top of the first inning while Lake View picked up nine runners in the bottom of the first and added two in the third and three in the fourth for the win.
Morgan Herlong picked up the win on the mound, pitching four innings for three hits, one earned run, three walks, and one out. Caelyn Hargrove took the loss for Mullins, pitching two innings for five hits, nine runs, three earned runs, eight walks, and one out.
At bat for Lake View, Ally Spivey went 2-for-2 with one RBI; Amber Locklear went 1-for-1 with one RBI; and Jasmine Ford and Madison Cox each went 1-for-1. The Lady Gators had nine hits and one error in the win.
Mullins had four hits at bat and one error.
Lake View improved to 13-6 overall as they wrapped up the regular season and will enter playoffs with a 4-4 record for third place in Region 8-A.
The Lady Gators are scheduled to travel to Carver’s Bay tonight at 5:30 p.m. for the first round of the Class A District VI playoffs.
