Latta’s Lady Vikings earned a 7-2 win over the Class 3A Darlington Falcons on Thursday night in Latta.

Latta’s Anna Rogers earned the win on the mound, pitching seven innings and striking out 16 batters, allowing three hits and two runs. Rogers now has a 2-0 record on the mound this season.

Madison Owens led the Vikings at bat, going 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBI. Dori Webster went 1-for-3 with a double, a RBI, and one run scored; and Genesis Anderson went 2-for-3 with a RBI and one run scored.

The Lady Vikings improved to 2-0 with the win.

Latta is scheduled to travel to Hannah-Pamplico tonight at 5:30 p.m. to open region play, and the Lady Vikings will be at Johnsonville on Friday.
