Latta’s Lady Vikings earned a 50-21 win over Hannah-Pamplico’s Lady Raiders in Pamplico on Friday night in girls varsity basketball action.

TaKeria Legette led the Lady Vikings with a game-high 19 points and 10 assists in the win, and Jessica Evans added 18 points for Latta. Brittany Burgess added seven points in the win, Mallory Townsend earned four, and Madelia Johnson finished with two.

Logan Jordan led Hannah-Pamplico with nine points and Tyshera Eaddy earned four with Emily Pyett, Jazaria Eaddy, and Sharane Flemming each contributing two points in the effort.

Latta improved to 11-4 overall and 6-1 in Region 8-A with the win.

The Vikings and the Raiders are now just a half-game apart in the rankings, with the Raiders at 7-1 and Latta at 6-1. Lake View is in third place at 4-4 and Johnsonville is in fourth.

The Lady Vikings were scheduled to wrap up the regular season at home this week, hosting Lake View on Thursday, Green Sea-Floyds on Friday, and Johnsonville on Saturday.
