The Johnsonville Flashes exploded on the court Tuesday night for a 101-56 win over the Lake View Wild Gators.

The Flashes outscored the Gators in every quarter, getting off to a 20-8 lead in the first and leading 47-23 at the half. Johnsonville out paced Lake View 54-33 in the second half to seal the win.

Lake View’s Crishon Jordan led the Gators in the effort with a team-high 16 points and Reco Brown added 13. Emmanuel Williams earned seven points, Chavis Nichols scored six, Duane Nichols added four, and Jeremiah Cribb added three, with Dwight Lassiter, Anthony Bines, and Jeremy Moody each contributing two. Thomas Bullock also added one point for the Gators.

Johnsonville was led by J.T. Eaddy with a game-high 19 points, Josh Franklin with 14, and Evin Morris with 12. Tushai Edwards and Montell Caesar each earned nine and Robert Ripley and Shaquille Crouch each added eight. Jonathon Long, Stephen Doctor, and Jacob Avant all earned six points, and Arkelious Williams scored four in the win.

Johnsonville improved to 12-6 overall and remained undefeated in Region 8-A at 6-0. The Flashes were ranked ninth in the state in Class A boys basketball in the latest South Carolina Basketball Coaches Association polls, with Whale Branch, St. Joseph’s, Fox Creek, Calhoun Falls, and Greenville Tech rounding out the top five.

Lake View will be at home this Friday to host Creek Bridge at 6:00 p.m. Next week, the Wild Gators are scheduled to host Green Sea-Floyds on Tuesday, February 11, and Lake View will wrap up the regular season in Latta on Thursday.
