Dillon Christian School’s Lady Warriors fell 64-20 on the road at Carolina Academy on Tuesday night in girls varsity basketball action.

The Lady Bobcats took a 19-4 lead in the first quarter and out paced the Warriors throughout, leading 30-7 at half time and outscoring Dillon Christian 34-13 in the second half.

Samantha Carpenter led the six-man Lady Warrior team with 12 points with Jamie Carpenter adding six and Madison King earning two.

Ally Gaskins led Carolina Academy with a game-high 20 points and Tori Gaskins added 14 in the win. Heidi Matthews scored 8; Hannah Weaver, 6; Mary Alison Burch, 6; Candace Morris, 4; Mary Bryant Matthews, 4; and Jamie Yarborough, 2.

Carolina Academy improved to 6-10 overall and 4-6 in SCISA Region 4-2A.

The Lady Warriors will be on the road again this Friday to face The King’s Academy and back at home on Tuesday, February 11, to wrap up the regular season against Pee Dee Academy with junior varsity action beginning at 4:00 p.m. Make plans to attend to support our local teams!
