To The Editor:
I felt led to write and let you know how wonderful I thought your Dec. 19 issue of The Dillon Herald was.
I was so impressed by all of the inspirational article and clear beautiful pictures of the different churches and organizations doing such wonderful things this Christmas in Proclaiming the Good News. I’ll mention a few of the congregations that impressed me so:
—New Life Family Worship Center
—Fork Presbyterian Church
—Dillon Christian School
—Mount Calvary Baptist Church
—Bethel AME Church
—East Dillon Baptist Church
—and others I’m sure.
Also the touching article and pictures of the luminary service at Evergreen Perpetual Care Cemetery. This is a service I always intend to attend, but for some reason, it hasn’t happened yet, but it will.
I can’t stop this until I thank you for all the inspirational articles written by different ones: Bishop Michael Goings, Mr. Bill Lee, Mr. Carley Wiggins, Senator Kent Williams, “A Glimmer Of Hope” by Lt. Governor Glenn McConnell and also Ms. Sarah Stubbs.
I know there has been other publications of The Dillon Herald just as interesting and inspiring, but this particular publication got me to thinking of all the good things that go on in Dillon County in the name of “Love Thy Neighbor” and “Do Unto Others,” and that Dillon County really knows the “Reason For The Season” and has gone all out to make it happen and make it known.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,
