Lake View’s Wild Gators fell 58-34 to the Aynor Blue Jackets at home on Friday night in boys varsity basketball action.
Aynor took a 17-13 lead in the first quarter and pulled ahead 33-19 at the half. Both teams added seven points in the third quarter, but Aynor outpaced the Gators 18-8 in the fourth for the win.
Zack Jenerette led Aynor with a game-high 16 points. Brandon Young added 9; Jackson Woodle, 8; Caleb Jenerette, 7; Malik Sanders, 4; Nathan Peeples, 4; Spencer Cannon, 4; Nick Vanover, 2; Austin Windham, 2; Jaime Anderson, 1; and Grayson Long, 1.
Crishon Jordan led Lake View with a team-high nine points in the effort. Reco Brown added 8; Chavis Nichols, 5; Jeremiah Cribb, 4; Josh Butler, 3; Thomas Bullock, 3; Anthony Bines, 2; Jeremy Moody, 1; and Xavier Johnson, 1.
The Gators will host Johnsonville tonight at 6:00 p.m. to open region play, and will be at Hannah-Pamplico on Friday and at Creek Bridge on Tuesday, January 21.
