During a special ceremony on Monday, November 11, Latta’s Donell Stanley received his jersey for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
The 6-foot-4, 330-pound Stanley is one of three players from South Carolina chosen for the game. Stanley is one of South Carolina’s top recruits and recently committed to play for the University of South Carolina after fielding offers from over 30 different schools.
Stanley finished the season with 110 tackles, nine sacks, and a 90-yard fumble return for a touchdown. He was named Class A Lower State Lineman of the Year and is a nominee for the Mr. Football award with the winner to be announced at the 2013 Touchstone Energy Cooperatives Bowl. He was also chosen to play in the Shrine Bowl on December 21.
The U.S. Army All-American Bowl will be held on January 4 in San Antonio, Texas.
