Volleyball season is set to begin for our local teams over the next few weeks with every team looking to improve.
Last season, Dillon, Latta, and Lake View all made it to playoffs, with the Lady Gators making it all the way to the third round.
Dillon Christian School struggled a bit last season, but the Lady Warriors will be warming up for the new season this Thursday at Lake View High School against the Lady Wild Gators with varsity action at 6:00 p.m. and junior varsity volleyball at 4:30.
Next week the Lady Warriors will travel to face Robert E. Lee on Tuesday, August 27, before traveling to Marlboro on Thursday. Dillon Christian will host their first home game on Tuesday, September 10, against King’s Academy.
Lake View will officially open their season on Tuesday, September 3, at Loris and on Monday, September 9, the Wild Gators will travel to Dillon to face the Wildcats.
Latta will kick things off on Wednesday, September 4, when they are scheduled to host Marion for their first home game of the season. It will also be the first season for the Lady Vikings under new coach Kimberly Bean. Bean spent the last three years coaching the junior varsity team and is excited to work with the Lady Vikings this season.
