LAKE VIEW—A Lake View Police Officer has been promoted.
Joey Pope was employed with the Lake View Police Department on July 20, 2012.
Since then, he completed the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy on May 10, 2013.
Upon completion of the Academy, Officer Pope was promoted to the rank of Corporal with the effective day of  May 17, 2013.
“I would like to congratulate Officer Pope on his completion of the Academy and being promoted to the rank of corporal. I am looking forward to the opportunity of working with him,” said Chief James T. McDaniels.
