Latta’s #3 Christian Hendrix picked up the win on the mound, holding St. Joseph’s to just one hit and one walk in the last four innings.
The Latta Vikings defeated the St. Joseph’s Catholic Knights 5-3 on Monday night in the first round of the Class A Varsity Baseball State Championship Series.

The Vikings dropped the second game 8-0 on Wednesday at St. Joseph’s, forcing a third game to be played tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Spring Valley High School, located at 120 Sparkleberry Lane in Columbia, SC.
