The United Methodist Women (UMW) of McCoy Chapel United Methodist Church held its annual Scholarship Luncheon on February 16, 2013.
The theme was “A Focus on Education and Music.” Mr. McLellan shared information regarding his educational background and the music program from JV Martin and Dillon Middle Schools. He is a member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in Rowland, NC, and the son of Nathan and Emma McLellan of Dillon, SC. Musical participants on the program included: Brock Mack, son of Renzalo and Mary Mack, a fourth grade student at Gordon Elementary School played the keyboard and sang; Bre’Asia McLean, daughter of Falisha Jackson and the late Ben McLean, a seventh grade student at Dillon Middle School played the trumpet; Laterrin Page, daughter of Cedric Page and the late Latonya McCallum Page, a seventh grade student at Dillon Middle School played the Flute; and Cequordic Page, son of Cedric Page and the late Latonya McCallum Page, a senior at Dillon High School played the saxophone.
