The Dillon Christian School Warriors fell 12-2 to the Carolina Academy Bobcats in Lake City on Tuesday night in varsity baseball action.

The Bobcats took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first, but the Warriors scored two runs in the second to briefly lead 2-1. Carolina Academy tied things 2-2 in the second before breaking loose with seven runs in the bottom of the fourth for a 9-2 lead. The Bobcats sealed the win with three runs in the fifth for the final score of 12-2.

Connor Floyd got the win for Carolina, pitching five innings and allowing just one hit, two runs, and one walk while striking out seven. Landry Collins took the loss for the Warriors, pitching 3.3 innings for 11 hits, eight runs, four earned runs, three walks, and three outs.

At bat for Carolina, Vance Timmons went 3-for-4 with a RBI; Colby McFaddin went 2-for-3 with two RBIs; and Garrett Weaver and Scott Timmons each went 2-for-3 with a RBI. The Bobcats had 14 hits and two errors.

Josh Price led the Warriors at bat, going 1-for-2. Dillon Christian had four errors in the loss.

The Warriors will be looking to improve on a 1-9 record this week as they kick off a busy schedule. On Thursday the Warriors are scheduled to host The King’s Academy at 5:00 p.m. On Friday, the Warriors will travel to The King’s Academy, and on Monday, the Warriors will be back home to host Williamsburg at 5:00 p.m. before traveling to Pee Dee Academy on Tuesday.
