Jerry Wayne Jones went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, July 8, 2012. Funeral services were held in Charlotte, N.C. at Mint Hill Baptist Church Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at 11:00 a.m.
Born in Florence County, he was the son of Sarah Lovett Webster of Dillon, S.C. and the late James Henton Jones of McMinnville, Tennessee.
Survivors include his wife Sarah Elizabeth of the home. Son, John Henton Jones; Step Son, James Cummins (Rachel). Granddaughter, Savannah Cummins of Charlotte, N.C. Sisters, Sarah Leen Davis (Jimmy) of Dillon, S.C.; Kandi Jones Steele and Tonjua Jones Austin of McMinnville, Tennessee. Brothers, Sammy Webster, Mitchell Webster (Sarah) of Dillon, S.C.; James Earl Jones (Karen) of McMinnville, Tennessee; Shelton Jones (Jenny) of Manchester, Tennesee; Jimmy Jones (Almetia) of McMinnville, Tennessee; step mother Mary Jones (Mert) of McMinnville Tennessee and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his father James Henton Jones, step father Walker Webster, and half sister Linda Faye Jones.
