McLeod Physician Associates and McLeod Medical Center Dillon are pleased to announce that Jonathan G. Eli-Phillips, M.D. has joined McLeod OB/GYN Dillon.
Dr. Eli-Phillips comes to Dillon from Conway, SC, where he most recently practiced Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) with a local healthcare organization.
Dr. Eli-Phillips completed an OB/GYN Residency in 2009 at Crozer-Chester Medical Center in Upland, PA. Dr. Eli-Phillips has also studied in New York, England, and Ukraine, where he attended Medical School at Odessa Medical University in Odessa, Ukraine.
Dr. Eli-Phillips enjoys his career in Obstetrics and Gynecology because it allows him to have a positive impact on a woman’s health. “What enjoy most about my work is seeing good outcomes for my patients,” he said. “I really have a passion for caring for people, which is why I felt compelled to go into medicine.” Dr. Eli-Phillips also has a passion for preventative medicine. “I educate my patients about the need for screenings because screenings save lives,” he said. “I also ensure that women who want to become pregnant take part in pre-pregnancy screenings. That way, we can address any medical concerns that may need to be controlled or resolved before getting pregnant, such as high blood pressure or diabetes,” said Dr. Eli-Phillips.
Dr. Eli-Phillips looks forward to working in Dillon. “The facility at McLeod Medical Center Dillon is a very fine, modern facility. The staff is also very friendly and skilled.” Dr. Eli-Phillips is a member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopy, American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the British Medical Association.
