Jane Pittman Daniel “Country Twin,” age 89, died Sunday, April 29, 2012.
Born and raised in Mullins, SC, Mrs. Daniel lived most of her adult life in Nichols. She was the daughter of the late Grover Cleveland and Sally Hardwick Pittman. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Shipp Daniel, and three sisters: Jean Pittman Graves “City Twin”, Katherine P. Game Daniel, and Elizabeth P. Walker. She was a member of Nichols United Methodist Church, Fannie Jones Circle, and Elder Jones Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Daniel is survived by one daughter, Jean D. Huggins Berry (Tommy) of Dillon; one son, William Shipp Daniel, Jr. (Deedie) of Dillon; seven grandchildren, Chip Huggins (Anita), John Huggins, Salley Huggins McIntyre (Marty), Christian Wolfe (Marie), Haywood Wolfe, Shipp Daniel, Anna Daniel McLaurin (Will); thirteen great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, one nephew, Buddy Graves, and one niece, Jane Ward.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, May 1, at 4:00 P. M. at Main Street United Methodist Church in Dillon. Visitation immediately followed the service.
