Dillon defeated Marion 14-2 in four innings on Tuesday as Taylor Price struck out seven and hit a home run to lead the Lady Wildcats in the win.
Dillon scored three runs in the first inning and four in the third to lead 7-0 heading into the fourth. Marion got two runs in the top of the inning, but Dillon scored seven to claim the 17-2 win after just four innings.
Taylor Price led Dillon at bat, going 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs. Shayna Covington went 4-for-4 with an RBI; Da’Kerhia Samuel went 3-for-3 with two RBIs, and Shaquailla German went 2-for-3. The Wildcats had a total of 15 hits in the game.
Marion was led at bat by Dena Townsend who went 2-for-2 for the Lady Swamp Foxes. Marion had three hits in the game.
Taylor Price picked up the win for Dillon, pitching all four innings and striking out seven, allowing only three hits, two runs and a walk.
Marissa Tydell took the loss for Marion, pitching 3.3 innings for 14 runs, 10 earned runs, two walks, and two outs.
Dillon remains undefeated in the regular season with a 4-0 record and a 2-0 record in Region 8-2A.
