Lake View hosted the Hemingway Tigers on Tuesday night and took losses in both boys and girls varsity basketball action.

The Lady Wild Gators fell 61-22 to the Tigers as Hemingway outscored Lake View in every quarter, going 14-4, 17-7, 12-4, and 18-7 for the win.

Deja Woodberry and Keondra Snow each earned a game-high 14 points to lead Hemingway, followed by Jashannah Wilson with nine and Shanta Blow with seven. Kaniya Burgess and Diamond McFadden each earned six points in the win, and Wyne Brown scored four. Deja Woodberry also made six assists while Snow grabbed 15 rebounds. Tanisha Woodberry also picked up 10 rebounds for the Lady Tigers.

Lake View was led by Britney Washington with five points and Kayla Sanderson with four. Tranya Ford, Tiffany Waters, and Jasmine Ford each added three points, with Diayah Williams and Shawnda Dudley both adding two.

Hemingway improved to 18-4 overall and 8-1 in Region 8A while the Lady Gators are 4-12 overall and 2-9 in the region.

In boys action, Lake View fell to Hemingway 69-54. Stats were not available for either team at press time.

The Wild Gators are now 4-12 overall and 2-9 in the region.

On Thursday, the Wild Gators will travel to Latta to take on the Vikings to close out the regular season.
