Lake View’s Wild Gators fell to the Creek Bridge Warriors 74-54 at home on Friday.
The Warriors started out with a two-point 18-16 lead at the end of the first, but walked away from the Gators in the second s they outscored lake View 25-15 for a 43-31 lead at the half. They widened the gap in the third, outscoring the Wild Gators 21-14, and ended the fourth 10-9 for the 74-54 win.
Vic Williams led Creek Bridge with a game-high 23 points, with Rashawn Rogers adding 17 and Jamel Williams earning 16. Chris Crawford contributed six points in the win, with D.J. Graves and Stanley Gray each adding four and Rajuan Woodberry and Jimel Williamson each earning two.
Lake View was led by Michael Paige and Jamal Ford, who each earned 11 points. Tyrick Brunson earned 10, Shaquille Foxworth added four, Christian McDaniel scored three, and Morgan McDaniel and Chris Ford each contributed six points for the Wild Gators.
Lake View’s record slips to 2-6 overall and a 1-4 record in Region 8A. Creek Bridge improves to 6-1 with a 1-4 record in the region.
Lake view will travel to take on Hemingway tonight at 6:00 p.m. and will be back home on Thursday to host Aynor at 6:00 p.m. On Friday, the Wild Gators will host Green Sea-Floyds at 6:15 p.m.
