Services for Alberta Lane Hunt will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hunt, 79, died Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at the Mullins Nursing Center.
Born in Dillon County, May 10, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Stephen Lane and Florence Byrd Rouse. She was the widow of the late John Oliver “Jack” Hunt, a homemaker, and a member of the Dillon Church of God.
Survivors include her children, Doris (Lonnie) Powers of Mullins, Cathy (Ronnie) Elliott of Clayton, NC, Johnny (Peggy) Hunt of Dillon, James Hunt of Silver Street, SC, Betty (John Edward) Williamson of Dillon, Roy (Marcia) Hunt of Mullins; adopted son, Larry Brigman of Dillon; brother, Gary Lane of Dillon; sisters, MayBelle Williams and Elizabeth (Earl) DuBois of Dillon; 17 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her half-brothers and half-sisters.
The family would like to thank the fine staff at Mullins Nursing Center for the care given to Mrs. Alberta.
