Lake View’s Wild Gators fell to the Johnsonville Flashes 81-63 on Tuesday in their first region matchup of the season.

The Wild Gators got off to a strong 17-11 lead, but Johnsonville racked up 31 points in the second quarter to lead 42-36 at the half. The Flashes outscored Lake View 22-12 in the third and 17-15 in the fourth to secure the 81-63 win.

Cordea Wilson and Arkelious Williams led Johnsonville with 14 points each. Chris Hicks and Aaron Mack each contributed 12 points and Erion Black added 11. Black also made 10 steals for Johnsonville. Savon Edwards made seven points, Robert Black scored five, and Tately Anderson added four, with Tushai Edwards earning two.

Chris Ford led Lake View with a game-high 20 points. Tyrice Brunson scored 13 points for the Wild Gators, Jamal Ford earned 12, and Darius Leonard added 11. Shaquille Foxworth made five points and Michael Page scored two.

Johnsonville improves to 5-2 overall and picks up their first region win. Lake View falls to 0-1 in the region and 0-3 overall.

The Wild Gators are scheduled to travel to take on Green Sea Floyds tonight at 6:15 p.m. before taking a break for the holidays.
