The Latta Vikings took another loss on Friday as they fell 64-50 to the Mullins Auctioneers.

Latta kept within two points of the Auctioneers in the first quarter but was down by four at the half as Mullins outscored them 17-15 in both the first and second quarters. Latta lost steam in the third as Mullins outscored the Vikings 19-8, but in the fourth the Vikings managed to add 12 points to the Auctioneers 11. But it wasn’t enough to close the gap, as Mullins claimed the win 64-50.

Mullins was led by Darnell Coleman with 16 points and Alex Brown added 14. Jonathan Jenkins scored 10, and Christ Harley added eight, with Tyre Constant, Rembert Timmons, and Keivonte Waters each scored four. Bernard Jones and Joseph Ceo added two.

Donell Stanley and D.J. Legette led Latta with 13 points each. Tyrell Saab and Hykeem McLellan each scored six, with Rajit McFadden adding five. K. Page added three, Travise Kinney scored two, and B. Loultine scored one in the loss.

The Vikings fall to 0-4, while Mullins remains undefeated at 4-0.

Tonight, the Vikings travel to Hemingway to take on the Tigers in their first Region 8-A game of the season and their last game before the holiday break. The Vikings will return to action on Tuesday, January 3, 2012, when they host Dillon in a non-league bout.
